SBCWD BOARD MEETING MINUTES


SPECIAL MEETING
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2006

A.    CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL

President Scott Tye called a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Stinson Beach County Water District to order at 9:27 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2006, at the District Office located at 3785 Shoreline Highway in Stinson Beach, California.

Directors present:
Scott Tye, President
Elizabeth Sapanai, Vice President
Barbara Boucke, Director
Jim Zell, Director

Treasurer/Secretary present:
Larry Baskin

Staff present:
Toby Bisson

B.    PUBLIC EXPRESSION

Stinson Beach Resident, Tom Topham, inquired about why the District is not bottling its water for retail sale. Board related that bottling the water is not feasible at this time.

Mr. Topham asked why Richard Dinges is no longer employed with the District; board members related that they could not come to contract resolution with the former General Manager.

C.    SETTING OF AGENDA

The agenda was adopted as presented by Board consensus.

D.    CLOSED SESSION/RETURN TO OPEN SESSION

  1. Review of the General Manager Position: The Board met in closed session pursuant to Government Code section 54957 to discuss the vacancy of the General Manager position and to interview applicants.

E.    COMMITTEE REPORTS

None.

F.    ADJOURNMENT

Motion to adjourn made by Director Zell, seconded by Director Boucke, and approved by unanimous vote. Meeting adjourned at 3:59 p.m.
